Dr. Amin Ghannadiasl is an Associate Professor and faculty member in Civil Engineering, holding a Ph.D. in Structural and Earthquake Engineering from Sharif University of Technology. With more than a decade of teaching, research, and industry experience, he has made extensive contributions in the fields of seismic analysis of structures and dynamic control of buildings.


Areas of Expertise

  • Seismic and Dynamic Research: Investigation of the behavior of beams and plates under vibration, crack detection, and the application of metaheuristic algorithms and machine learning in structural engineering. Development of innovative vibration control methods including tuned mass dampers, piston and friction dampers, and shear panels.
  • Computational Mechanics: Design and development of advanced techniques for analyzing beams and plates on foundations under various loading conditions.
  • Industrial Experience: Retrofitting of concrete structures using Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composites, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical applications in civil engineering projects.

  • Author of one specialized book and more than 50 articles published in leading international and national journals.
  • Presentation of over 80 papers at national and international conferences.
  • Translation of four reference books into Persian in the fields of Mathematica, Wavelet, Structural Vibrations, and Machine Learning.

  • Supervision and advising of more than 50 master’s and doctoral theses in structural and earthquake engineering.
