Dr. Mohtasham Mohebbi is a faculty member at the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili, with extensive experience in civil and structural engineering. He served as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering from 2017 to 2019. In addition, he acted as Civil Engineering Advisor to the President of the University for three years and was a member of the University Academic Evaluation Committee for two years.

Dr. Mohebbi has represented the university in various administrative and academic roles, including serving as the University Representative in the Tender Commission for four years and representing the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili in the Education Committee of Ardabil Province for one year. He has also been a member of the Grant Committee of the Faculty of Engineering for two years and managed technical affairs and supervised civil projects at the university during 2014–2015.

His research interests focus on structural engineering, seismic control systems, and performance-based design of nonlinear structures. Over the years, Dr. Mohebbi has led numerous research projects on the design and optimization of mass dampers, semi-active control systems, and vibration mitigation in buildings.
