Dr. Zahra Vaseghi is a faculty member of the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Mohaghegh Ardabili University.
She completed her B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering (Petrochemical Engineering) at Amirkabir University of Technology in 2009, graduating with distinction. She then pursued her M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, where she ranked first in her cohort and graduated in 2011 as the top student. Dr. Vaseghi continued her studies in the Ph.D. program in Chemical Engineering – Biotechnology at the University of Tehran and graduated in 2018, again as the top-ranked student. She subsequently completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Iran National Science Foundation (INSF) in 2023.

Her research interests include nanobiotechnology, nanomaterials, green synthesis of nanoparticles, drug delivery systems, water and wastewater treatment, enzyme technology, and bioreactor design. Dr. Vaseghi has contributed to numerous research projects and scientific publications and is actively engaged in teaching and supervising graduate students in various research fields.
